Good Afternoon KDP members!

I wanted to take time to assure you that great things will happen in the upcoming semester. I would like to start by introducing myself. My name is Katherine Lyell but most of you know me as Katie. I will be the president of Kappa Delta Pi at Marshall University for the upcoming semester, Fall 2015. I am an elementary education major with an endorsement in mathematics 5-9. I have planned out our next semester and cannot wait to put it into action! We will be marketing our chapter much more in the upcoming weeks, we will be hosting great programs all semester, and we will be getting involved in our community.

Just to mention a few things on our agenda; we will be hosting a raffle for a teacher test (Praxis), hosting a book drive, visiting places in our community to read to children, learning how to make resumes and so much more! This semester will be jammed pack with opportunities to grow as a future educator.

With that being said, I know that some of the difficulties we have had thus far as a chapter have been trouble with picking a meeting time when people could come. No worries! I have a solution for this! I know we have busy schedules with classes, clinical hours, jobs, families, and social lives so I wanted to make it possible for everyone to be able to be an active part of our chapter. This means that on days we meet, if you cannot join us, there are still ways to participate in our chapter that are meaningful and manageable with our busy lives.

This semester is going to be a great opportunity to grow as an educator and give back to our community. I hope you will continue to be a part of this organization with me.

One thing I would like to ask you all to do is to take a second and log into your Kappa Delta Pi account.

2. Click Member Login

3. This will bring you to the MY KDP page where you can log in. (Don’t remember your log in? No worries, you can request the information to be sent to your email.)

4. Log in to your account

5. Click on Renew My Membership

6. If an order appears below, it is time to renew your membership. Membership orders are available 2 months prior to your expiration date.

7. Send me an email once you have completed the renewal and I will check to make sure everything is in order for your membership.
