Chapter History

​

The Phi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi is located at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. This chapter was established on June 7,1923. This is the twenty-first chapter of Kappa Delta Pi.

International History

​

  • Kappa Delta Pi is the international honor society for the College of Education. It was established at the University of Illinois in 1909.

  • The emblem of the Society shall be a key in the form of a scroll pierced by a stylus, upon which scroll are imposed a beehive and the letters KDP.

  • The motto of the Society is "Knowledge-Duty-Power".

  • The colors of the society are jade green and violet.

  • The flower of the Society is the violet.
